SORA Integrated Plan https://sora.org/plan
We knew you couldn’t wait, so here is update number eight. This fortnight focused on the upcoming Ethereum merge (or split), as well as its consequences on our EVM bridge development. With this major change in the Ethereum network, it was necessary to take all the possible outcomes into consideration. We have prepared a specific announcement where we inform you of all the necessary steps we are taking to ensure the transition is smooth.
This doesn’t mean that we haven't been busy with other points of the integrated plan. Our test HRMP channel with Karura has been set up and we are still working on managing assets on our pararachain. The main blocker we had been dealing with for updates 6 and 7, Substrate v4 is near completion! Once we have successfully dealt with the Merge, we can proceed to start work on our test environment, which will bring us a lot closer to completing this important network milestone.
The implementation of order book functionality is also on pause due to the Merge, but on the other hand, the trustless EVM bridge has been going strong during this fortnight as we also prepare it for Proof-of-Stake support. Speaking of support, the Parity team has provided some great progress in Beefy proof implementation, which has allowed us to move forward in the development of our specific use-case. We continue to emphasize our support to the team at Parity and our lines are open for any support they need during the development of this technology that will benefit all of us in the Dotsama ecosystem.
In the previous update, we introduced XSTUSD base pools for Polkaswap, we are happy to announce that progress on this implementation is going smoothly and we are ready to test them, and hopefully, they will be available for you to help us test them very soon.
Moving on to web updates, we are happy to announce that the development of the Fearless Wallet Desktop app and the browser extension is going great! We are steadily advancing toward the friendly, powerful, intuitive, and beautiful user experience you have come to know and love from the Fearless team, and we look forward to having something ready for you to test! Whether on mobile, or very soon on your desktop Stay Fearless!
As we come closer to the bottom line, let's talk about business. The SORA Card and IBAN will be providing some interesting updates today, so stay tuned! We are very excited about this, as there is no project doing anything similar.
On the topic of economy, the SORA Economic Forum is on the 23rd of September! With special guest speakers such as Prof. Richard Werner, Johannes Duong, Satoru Yamadera, Tim Swanson, and more! Registrations to this amazing event will be available on Soranomics.com very soon, with some key people in the conceptualization of the SORA New Economic Order participating, this is an event you cannot afford to miss.
That was it for this time’s You Are Here, we look forward to updating you in two weeks!
You can find the summary of the integrated plan points published in the July 14 ecosystem updates on the SORA Wiki.

⚙️ SORA Blockchain Update
⛩ SORA Mainnet ↔ SORA Kusama Parachain Bridge
- Working on enabling liquidity to flow from/to the SORA ecosystem to/form the Kusama ecosystem.
- Since the parity-bridges-common pallet is still under development, it is not stable enough for us to rely on it. We are investigating how we can leverage the work done on the Trustless EVM bridge to quickly bridge the SORA mainnet and the SORA Kusama parachain. This entails two major milestones:
- Working on setting up the assets pallet on the SORA Kusama parachain to enable flow from/to other parachains and from/to SORA mainnet
- Implementing BEEFY proofs on the SORA Kusama parachain
- Adapting the Trustless EVM bridge to the SORA mainnet and SORA Kusama parachain
⛩ Trustless EVM bridge to Ethereum
- Work continues on the fixes from the audit report
- Testing the bridge on the public testnet! (How to test the EVM Trustless bridge)
⛓ Ethereum Merge
- Preparing the HASHI bridge for the Ethereum Merge
- Main source of focus in the last weeks
- ❗️More information about our preparation for the Ethereum Merge to follow soon❗️
Substrate 4
- Migration to Substrate 4 is slowed down by the effort on preparing for the Ethereum Merge
📖 OrderBook
- We have established the user stories for the OrderBook, which are guiding the architectural design
- Regarding the current market and funding situation, we are currently focusing on the Trustless EVM bridge, the SORA Mainnet ↔ SORA Kusama parachain bridge, and the preparation for the Ethereum Merge

About SORA, Polkaswap, and Fearless Wallet
SORA is a new economic system aimed at creating a supranational multiverse economic system with built-in tools for decentralized finance (DeFi). The SORA network implements a new way of parachain architecture on Polkadot and Kusama network, with the capability to bridge external blockchains (like Ethereum) to the Polkadot ecosystem.
One of the DeFi applications that will run on the SORA network is Polkaswap, a noncustodial liquidity aggregating, cross-chain AMM DEX designed uniquely for the Polkadot ecosystem with boundless liquidity through its one-of-a-kind Aggregate Liquidity Technology (ALT).
Fearless Wallet is a bespoke mobile wallet designed for the decentralized future on the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem, with native support for iOS and Android platforms. A premium user experience, fast performance, and secure storage for your accounts. Fearless Wallet will integrate Polkaswap for easy, decentralized swaps of assets.
